We are looking for a caregiver to support a senior living in a household in Munich. The assignment is planned from 29 October 2026 to 5 November 2026.

The support covers everyday care: personal hygiene and showering, help with dressing, assistance to the toilet, and help with intimate hygiene and changing incontinence products. The senior is mostly mobile but needs help when standing up and on stairs, and attention is needed because of the risk of falls. Reminding the senior to take medication according to the schedule is also part of the role.

The senior has mild memory problems and reduced hearing, so patience and speaking clearly and loudly are important. Occasional night duties may be needed, such as help to the toilet and accompanying the senior back to bed. Smoking is only allowed outside the home. Details about other people in the household and pets will be shared before the start.

The assignment is in Munich in a well connected area. Start date: 29 October 2026.

Requirements

  • Good German language skills
  • Experience in senior care or home care
  • A driving licence is not required
  • Patience, empathy and a sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to take occasional night duties
  • Non-smoker inside the senior's home

What to expect

What this assignment means in practice

The key points from this assignment's description and how to prepare for them.

  • Memory problems or dementia

A steady daily routine, short and calm sentences and patience with repeated questions all help. You can talk through difficult situations with your permanent coordinator.

  • Help at night

The description mentions support at night. Ask your coordinator how often it is needed and when you can rest during the day.

  • Independent senior

The senior largely manages on their own, so companionship, running the household and respecting their independence are important — you help where help is needed.

  • A pet in the home

Feeding or a short walk with the dog may be part of the daily routine. If you have an allergy or concerns, mention it in your application.

  • Open to men

This offer is also open to male caregivers. Describe your experience in caring for older people in your application.
