Caregiver for Independent Senior in Mistelbach
We are looking for a warm and communicative caregiver for a very independent senior lady in Mistelbach, near Bayreuth. The care recipient enjoys company, shared conversations, activities, and walks.
The senior uses a rollator and is at risk of falling due to a nerve condition, but is largely independent in most daily activities. She requires support with household management (laundry, vacuuming, cooking, cleaning, shopping) and attention regarding fall risk. Lunch is delivered several times a week, but cooking is explicitly welcome.
The caregiver will live in a separate apartment in the attic of the house. There are two cats in the household, so animal love and no cat allergies are required. The area offers excellent infrastructure: doctors, pharmacy, and bakery are 2 minutes away, shops and a bus stop are within walking distance, with good connections to Bayreuth and Nuremberg.
The assignment is scheduled to start on October 19, 2026, at the latest by October 23, 2026. This is an open-ended assignment.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of German
- Driving license (manual transmission) – mandatory
- Experience in senior care
- Love for animals and no cat allergies
- Cheerful, communicative, and patient personality
- Willingness to assist with household chores and daily activities
- Non-smoker or smoking exclusively outside the living area
